However, development of MacWrite (transferred to software maker Claris) ended in 1995. Especially the use of a user-friendly graphical user interface inspired many word processors that were still to come. Together with painting software MacPaint it was a revolutionary application for its time. However, it was succeeded by MacWrite in 1984 for the Apple MacIntosh, of which I have fond memories.
